The Surfside Story
Surfside Renovations was built on a simple belief: quality work starts with doing things the right way. Founded by longtime friends and business partners Dennis McDaniels and Dustin Travis, Surfside brings together years of hands-on experience, a strong work ethic, and a genuine commitment to the people behind every project.
For us, construction is personal. We believe your home or property deserves more than a quick solution or a job that simply checks the boxes. It deserves thoughtful workmanship, quality materials, attention to detail, and a team that takes pride in the finished product. Dennis McDaniels

With a background in facility and project management, Dennis brings a thoughtful, organized approach to every Surfside Renovations project. His experience has taught him how to look at a project from the big picture down to the smallest details—balancing planning, craftsmanship, timelines, and the client’s vision.
As a co-owner, Dennis is closely involved in guiding projects from the initial walkthrough through completion. He takes pride in clear communication, staying organized, and making sure every part of the process is handled with care. His approach is centered on understanding what each client wants to accomplish and making sure the project comes together smoothly from start to finish.
Dennis is passionate about creating a business built on quality work, dependable service, and lasting relationships with clients. For him, success is measured not only by the finished project, but by the experience of getting there.
Dustin Travis
Co-Owner
Dustin’s passion for construction was shaped early in life by learning the trade alongside his father. That hands-on experience gave him a deep understanding of the craft, the importance of doing things properly, and the pride that comes from building something with your own hands.
Today, Dustin brings that foundation of knowledge and experience to Surfside Renovations, where he works alongside Dennis to oversee projects and uphold the level of craftsmanship the company is known for. His construction background allows him to approach challenges practically and confidently, while his hands-on mindset keeps the focus where it belongs—on the quality of the finished work.
Together, Dennis and Dustin bring different strengths to Surfside Renovations that complement one another. Dennis’s facility and project management experience and Dustin’s deep construction background allow them to approach each project from both the organizational and hands-on sides of the work.
As co-owners, they remain personally invested in the work and the relationships they build along the way. Their goal is simple: to deliver exceptional results while creating an experience that makes clients feel confident they chose the right team.
